EDI(ElectronicData Interchange)即电子数据交换,是一种信息处理系统。它是计算机与现代通信技术结合的产物。它利用现代通信网络将贸易、银行、运输、保险、海关、商检等部门连接起来,实现有关部门间的高速数据交换。在国际贸易和运输中,需要交换和处理大量的书面文件,其中存在着大量重复劳动。研究表明,准备和处理这些书面文件的成本是产品最终消费价的4-7%,应用EDI系统可以自动处理和生成
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is an information processing system. It is a product of the combination of computers and modern communication technologies. It uses modern communication networks to connect sectors such as trade, banking, transport, insurance, customs and commodity inspection to achieve high-speed data exchange among relevant departments. In international trade and transport, there is a need to exchange and process a large number of written documents, which involve a great deal of duplication of effort. Research shows that the cost of preparing and processing these paper documents is 4-7% of the final consumer price of the product, which can be automatically processed and generated using EDI systems
