当我们回顾中国前卫艺术发展的历史时,也许较少注意到其与苏联前卫艺术运动间的相似之处,在克罗泽尔看来,这种相似性根植于两国政治体制对艺术体制的绝对控制~1。尽管两国的文化传统与革命经验不尽相同,但在对文艺创作之政治性、阶级性、党性和人民性的强调上,斯大林与毛泽东则殊途同归,同时,由于更符合共产党的革命宗旨,这套体制也保证了社会主义现实主义风格在两国的主导地位。
