林则徐祖籍福清海口镇岑兜村,其纪念馆及祖居就位于该村。据说,林则徐小时候曾随父亲回过故居,并一度与宗亲有书信往来。林则徐赶考前及后来考中进士、长子考中举人,都曾回到岑兜祭祖。林则徐纪念堂位于林氏宗祠内,建于1990年,面积800多平方米,由前厅、大厅、后厅3部分组成。大厅正中有林则徐古铜色半身塑像,厅眉悬挂着道光皇帝亲书的“福寿”金匾,正堂悬挂着林则徐
