在京召开“两会”期间,江泽民总书记来到人民大会堂上海厅参加上海代表的讨论,听取上海代表审议《政府工作报告》的意见。江泽民总书记对每一个代表的发言都认真听取,并不时询问情况。当东海水产研究所所长郭南麟代表提出要加强我国渔业生产问题时,总书记问:“现在我国水产总量在世界名列第几位?”“第一,绝对的世界第一”郭所长说:“只是我们的水产品中小鱼小虾比较多。”
