1957年上半年冶金工业部地質局各單位在部与各地党委的領导下,貫彻了中共中央關於开展增产节約运动的指示,向全体职工广泛的进行了「勤儉建国、勤儉办企業」的思想教育,通过全体职工的积极努力,生产水平获得了正常的发展與提高。上半年所完成的工作总量相当于去年同期的107％,其中鑽探工程量相當於去年同期的117％,坑探工程量相当于去年同期的103％。鑽探台月效率較去年同期提高9％,坑探台班效率較去年同期提高14％,各种工程的單位成本較去年同期也都有所降低。不少單位已經超额完成了上半年的矿量任务。
