从鸦片战争到辛亥革命,是中国军事从古代向近代转变的变革时期,也是西方军事著作大批翻译和传播的重要时期。本文以甲午战争为界把近代中国对西方军事著作的翻译分为前、后两期,具体分析了前后两个阶段在翻译主体、翻译内容与翻译途径诸方面的特点,在此基础上,总结了西方军事著作的翻译对中国军事近代化的贡献与局限。
From the Opium War to the Revolution of 1911, it was an era of change in the Chinese military’s transformation from ancient times to the modern one and an important period in which a large number of western military writings were translated and disseminated.
