杨作材,江西人。1936年毕业于武汉大学,同年加入中国共产党。1938年入延安抗日军政大学学习。曾任延安自然科学院校务处处长、中央军委办公厅副主任。建国后历任国家建委副主任、国家计委副主任等职。延安期间,曾独立设计并指导建造了杨家岭中央大礼堂、中央办公厅办公楼、王家坪中央军委机关礼堂以及枣园建筑群等。
Yang for timber, Jiangxi. He graduated from Wuhan University in 1936 and joined the Communist Party of China in the same year. In 1938 into Yan’an Anti-Japanese Military University. Former Dean of Yan’an Academy of Sciences, deputy director of the Central Military Commission General Office. After the founding of PRC, he served successively as deputy director of the State Construction Commission and deputy director of the State Development Planning Commission. During the period of Yan’an, Yang Jialing Central Auditorium, Central Office Building, Wangjiaping Central Military Commission Agency Auditorium and Zaoyuan Building Complex were independently designed and instructed.
