上个星期天的早上,天气还有些凉,我们一行坐上大客,往沈阳市辽中珍珠湖方向行进。一路上经常可以看到散居在道路两旁红砖瓦房的农村村落,一些农家门口还停放着面包车、轿车,但很少看见有人在走动。笔者知道,现在的农村,青年人大多都到城里打工了,留守的不是老弱就是妇女。我们去的珍珠湖坐落在辽宁省蒲河辽中段的最北部,是辽宁省内唯一的平原水库。距离沈阳45公里。湖水面积达2.2万亩,平均深度约4米。湖中有7处小岛,岛上绿树环绕,青松翠柏四季常青。湖中有千亩荷花,初夏季节竞相开放,更有飞乌水禽嬉戏其中。但我们去时,由于是初夏,还没有看见那些美妙的景观。

Lake area of 22000 acres, the average depth of about 4 meters. There are 7 lakes in the lake, the island surrounded by trees, evergreen pine and cypress evergreen. There are acres of lotus in the lake, competing in the early summer season open, more flying black waterfowl which play. But when we went, because it was early summer, have not seen those wonderful landscape.
