“技术锁定”是国际上研究跨国公司的经济学家最新提出来的一个词组,他们用这个词组来解释很多发展中国家为什么很难有创新型的跨国公司的形成和出现,并断言这是发达国家与发展中国家存在“技术鸿沟”的主要原因所在。“技术锁定”的涵义相当广泛,大体上是指具有先进技术的跨国公司利用其技术垄断优势和内部化优势在技术设计、生产工艺、包装广告、营销网络等环节中的关键部分,设置一些难以破解其诀窍的障碍,而利用其技术生产的国家在技术本地化的过程中往往就会发现这些障碍,但由于这些障碍设计得很精细巧妙而不得其解。
