There are two trees in a garden. One is old， the other is young.
Spring comes. Many animals go to the garden. A bird says to the young tree， “Can I make a house on your branch？”
“No， you can’t，” says the young tree.
“But you can live on my branch，” says the old tree.
The bird says， “Thank you very much！”
Some butterflies and bees want to make houses on the old tree’s branches too. The old tree agrees（同意）.
The young tree says， “Mr. Old Tree， when the animals make houses on your branches， you will be dirty， and they will be noisy（吵闹的）！”
The old tree smiles， “I don’t think so. I am happy， because they are my friends！ If it rains， I can shelter（保护） them. Every day， the bird sings to me. The butterflies give me some flowers. And the bees give me some honey. I’m not lonely（孤独的） now.”
