目前有些地方,在推行速成识字法中产生了急于求成草率从事的偏差,结果速成而不成造成‘夹生’、‘回生’、‘返工’等现象。中央教育部工农业余教育司江凌副司长,针对这种情况进行了分析批判,指出了‘巩固与提高’的重要性,并提出解决这个问题的具体办法,是当前推行速成识字法,开展扫盲运动中极其重要的文件,本刊特予转载,各级文教干部,工农教师与小学教师,均须认真学习研究,从而正确认识速成识字法的基本精神,切实掌握‘稳步速成’、‘巩固发展’的方针,并在实际工作中贯彻运用,引导扫盲运动健康的发展。
