接到这个会议通知时,我心里是有些犹豫的,到底要不要来参加这样一个会议,来面对这么多的汉学家,这么多来自不同国度不同语言的翻译家。因为在某种程度上说,会议主办方一个主要动机就是推荐一些中国作家,来引起翻译家的注意,接受他们的挑选。有些情形下,等待被关注被挑中并不是一种特别美妙的感觉。就我个人而言,对于翻译这件事的感觉可能比别人更为复杂。在每一部关于中国抗战的电影电视中,几乎都有一个翻译的形象出现。穿着中国的便服,戴着日本的军帽,传达的也总是来自侵略者的不祥的消息。我从刚刚看得懂一
When I was informed of this meeting, I was somewhat hesitant about whether or not to attend such a conference in the face of so many sinologists and so many translators from different languages and languages. To some extent, one of the main motivations for the conference organizers is to recommend some Chinese writers to attract translators’ attention and accept their selection. In some cases, it is not a particularly wonderful feeling to wait for attention to be picked. Personally, my feeling of translating this may be more complicated than that of others. In every film and television about China’s war of resistance, almost all have a translated image. Wearing casual Chinese clothes and wearing Japanese military caps, the ominous news from the invaders was always conveyed. I just understand one
