古籍拍卖在世界上有超过260年的历史,全球两大拍卖行苏富比与佳士得均起自古籍市场。中国的活字印刷技术早西方400年,然拍卖古籍却迟了200余年。经过十余年的培育如今国内市场已渐趋稳定,中国传统印刷的古籍善本其价格节节高升且长期居高不下,近年来西文古籍以较大的升幅空间悄然占据了一席之地。国际拍场上的西文古籍包罗万象,涉足国内的则主要以中国风俗内容为主,即早期的涉华著作,这类书籍当年曾在
