Objective To investigate the effect of rapid plateau on brain function of recruits. Methods The neurobehavioral core test of 30 new recruits who were airlifted into Tibet was tested on plain (elevation 500 m) and plateau (3685 m above sea level). The changes of test scores and basic physiological indexes of neurobehavioral core test before and after recruiting , And analyzed the symptoms of acute altitude sickness. Results After entering the plateau, the values of digital span and target tracking decreased significantly (P <0.05) compared with those of the plain. The scores of the simple visual analogy and the decoded ones decreased slightly (P> 0.05) (P> 0.05). The scores of hand-transfer test and non-hand-use test showed that there was a significant increase (P <0.05). Recruits into Tibet, the morning was significantly faster, significantly reduced blood oxygen saturation, blood pressure no significant change. The incidence of acute altitude sickness was 13.3%. Conclusion The prompt hearing ability of new recruits after entering the 3685 m plateau rapidly drops and the speed and accuracy of hand movements decrease obviously.
