一般的人大概都不会有这么大的肚子,“身”字在当时表示的是怀孕后的女性的身体。所以,在古代,“身”字在现代汉语里的意思是人的身体。但是在古代,“身”字虽然和人体有关,但又和今天很不一样。我们先来看古代“身”字的写法:■我们可以看见,上边部分是人的头和上肢,下边是人体的下肢。中间鼓起的是人的肚子。这个字和“人”字有很多相近的地方,上边部分和下边部分都是用简化的线条表示人的身体。不过,“身”字特别突出了人体中间的肚子部分:
