2014年6月3日,国务院批复同意设立青岛西海岸新区,青岛西海岸新区正式上升为国家级,成为中国第9个国家级新区。这是继2011年批准设立山东半岛蓝色经济区之后,对深入推进山东半岛蓝色经济区建设的又一重大战略举措。对全面实施国家海洋发展战略、深化改革海洋综合管理体制、加快推进深远海开发与陆海统筹发展具有重要意义。
On June 3, 2014, the State Council approved to set up a new West Coast Zone in Qingdao, and the West Coast Zone of Qingdao officially rose to a national level and became the 9th national new zone in China. This is yet another major strategic move to further promote the construction of the blue economic zone in Shandong Peninsula following the approval of the establishment of the Shandong Blue Peninsula Blue Economic Zone in 2011. It is of great significance to the full implementation of the national marine development strategy, deepening the reform of the marine integrated management system and accelerating the development of the deep-seated sea and the integrated development of the coast and the sea.
