We heard many moving speeches at the first countrywide activist conference for the popularization of workers’ science and technology held in Beijing from October 29 to November 3 this year. Some of the speakers talked about how they have overcome their difficulties and studied science scientifically, thereby improving the course of production. These gays and lesbians are the vanguards of our working class’s advancement into science and educate us in their own advanced deeds: as long as the resolution and the method are adopted, the solid scientific fort can be broken. They also each provide their own good experiences in learning science and technology, and these experiences are also very valuable to those who prepare or are making progress in science. Therefore, we have made some speeches here. Because of space limitations, these statements have been abridged. And, we also add a title in front of each statement. Hope to be able to receive the reader’s comments and comments on these statements. --editor
