Hungarian Aluminum Company Bakony Mine is Hungary’s largest bauxite group. Of the approximately 3 million tons of ore produced annually in the country, the Group’s three underground mines and two open-pit mines produced 2.2 million tons of which 70% of underground mines were produced. These mines are located on the northwestern side of Lake Balaton in western Hungary known as the Karst Mountains
