在加州撒乔昆河流域西部地区,土壤含石灰较多,pH值偏高,大面积的扁桃树由于患植物常见的‘石灰性失绿症’而大量减产。在碱性土壤中,由于铁被固定,不能被树体吸收,造成叶片严重失绿。一般认为,碱性土壤经过酸化就可释放出铁离子。但是,若只用硫酸中和表土,并不能真正解决根部的问题。酸化表土下根际附近的少量土壤,对于矫治石灰性失绿症效果会更好。具体做法是: 在树行的旁边,开一个深约12.7cm的狭长沟。通过软管施入92%的硫酸,每公顷3吨。
In western Saskatchewan, California, the soil contains more lime and has a higher pH value. A large area of almond trees is largely reduced due to the common ’lime-chlorosis’ of plants. In alkaline soils, iron can not be absorbed by the tree as the iron is fixed, resulting in serious leaf chlorosis. It is generally accepted that alkaline soils can release ferric ions after being acidified. However, neutralizing topsoil with only sulfuric acid does not really solve the root problem. Acidification of a small amount of soil near the rhizosphere of the topsoil would be better for the treatment of limestone chlorosis. The specific approach is: next to the tree line, open a deep groove about 12.7cm deep. 92% sulfuric acid is applied through the hose, 3 tons per hectare.
