氟是人体必需的微量元素,但过量又可引起中毒。在通常情况下正常成年人每天的总摄氟量约60%来自饮水,40%来自食物,因此水氟含量的高低对总摄氟量有较大影响。但在某些地区水氟含量不高却有氟中毒发生,所以判断总摄氟水平不能仅仅依据水氟含量。由于总摄氟水平达到一定程度时即可发生氟中毒,而氟斑牙为氟中毒较为敏感指标。据有关资料报道,尿氟量平均占总摄
