The new curriculum standard of Chinese proposed in the overall goal pupils want to “recognize the rich and generous Chinese culture, to learn the essence of national culture.” Therefore, PEP from the fifth year of the five-year system at the end of each book are arranged for a short Interesting classical Chinese. I read the standard requirements of the course repeatedly and learned that the purpose of arranging the classical Chinese is to let the students experience the language characteristics of the classical Chinese, understand the long and splendid culture in the motherland, further cultivate the thoughts and feelings of those who love the motherland’s languages, and lay a solid foundation for the learning classical Chinese.
