低丘红壤地区的主要生态条件很适宜茶树生长,但在立地的气候、土壤、地形与植被等特定的环境条件下,由于茶树品种混杂和农艺管理粗放等人为因素,常造成大面积茶园低产低质、效益不高的现象。据调查,低丘红壤地区茶园平均亩产值多在500元左右,茶叶品质在国内外茶叶市场上也不具竞争力。为此,笔者近年在浙赣低丘红壤茶区设置田间试验和生产示范区,对10个无性系茶树品种进行小区对比试验和大区观察分析,为该地区调整茶园品种结构,推广多茶类组合生产技术和提高茶叶生产经济效益寻求新的途径。
