为了满足光纤陀螺对抗辐照保偏光纤耦合器的需求,采用纯石英芯、掺氟包层结构设计制作了抗辐照保偏光纤,将保偏光纤预制棒的应力区与包层之间的相对折射率控制在0.001~0.0015以内。以玻璃焊料代替环氧树脂作为保偏光纤耦合器的封装材料,增强了保偏光纤耦合器的抗辐照性能。在辐照总剂量为100krad,辐照剂量率为0.1rad/s的条件下,其辐照感生损耗小于0.6dB。实验结果表明,这种抗辐照保偏光纤耦合器具备了一定的抗辐照能力。下一步将采用辐照加固的方法进一步提高其辐照性能。
In order to meet the requirement of FOG against polarization maintaining fiber couplers, a pure quartz core and a fluorine-doped cladding structure were designed and fabricated to resist the polarization-maintaining fibers. The polarization zone between the stress region of the polarization maintaining fiber preform and the cladding The relative refractive index is controlled within 0.001 ~ 0.0015. Glass solder instead of epoxy resin as the polarization maintaining fiber coupler packaging material, enhanced polarization-maintaining fiber coupler anti-radiation performance. The irradiation induced loss is less than 0.6dB under the condition that the total radiation dose is 100krad and the irradiation dose rate is 0.1rad / s. The experimental results show that this anti-polarization PM fiber coupler possesses some anti-radiation ability. The next step will be to use radiation reinforcement method to further improve its radiation performance.
