南水北调工程深受各级领导和国内外各界人士的广泛关注。自20世纪50年代提出南水北调设想,至今已进行了50多年的前期工作。50多年来,在党中央、国务院的重视和关怀下,有关部门和单位进行了广泛深入的研究论证,完成了大量的勘测、规划、设计及专题论证工作,为南水北调工程规划打下了坚实的科学基础。在经过近百种方案比选后,提出了从长江下游、中游、上游分别引水的南水北调东、中、西3条调水线路。同时,还对其他调水设想和解决北京市用水的一些应急调水方案进行了研究。
The South-to-North Water Diversion Project has drawn wide attention from leaders at all levels and people from all walks of life both at home and abroad. Since the idea of South-North Water Diversion proposed in the 1950s, more than 50 years of preliminary work has been done so far. Over the past 50 years, with the great attention and care of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, relevant departments and units conducted extensive and in-depth research and verification and completed a large amount of surveying, planning, designing and demonstration projects, laying a solid science for the planning of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project basis. After nearly a hundred kinds of schemes, the three water diversion routes in the east, the middle and the west of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, which are respectively diverted from the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the middle reaches and the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, are proposed. In the meantime, some other emergency water diversion plans for water diversion in Beijing are also studied.
