柳工机械股份有限公司的前身是1958年内迁的上海华东钢铁建筑厂。1963年更名为柳州工程机械厂,1993年11月通过向社会募集的方式,在原柳州工程机械厂的基础上改造为柳工机械股份有限公司。目前该公司已发展成为国家大一档企业,是我国工程机械行业中轮式装载机行业的排头兵企业,各类工程机械已销往国内外近两万台。公司现有职工4855人。1995年主要经济指标中的总资产、工业总产值、销售收入、利税和出口创汇与1990年相比分别增长了309％、259％.203％、272％和113％。柳工1993年被国家质量管理协会评为“用户满意企业”
Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. was the predecessor of Shanghai Huadong Iron and Steel Building Factory which was relocated in 1958. In 1963, it was renamed as Liuzhou Construction Machinery Plant. In November 1993, it was transformed into Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. on the basis of the former Liuzhou Construction Machinery Plant through the way it was recruited from society. At present, the company has developed into a national first grade enterprise, and is the vanguard of the wheel loader industry in China’s construction machinery industry. Various types of construction machinery have been sold to nearly 20,000 units at home and abroad. The company has 4,855 employees. In 1995, total assets, industrial output value, sales revenue, profits and taxes, and foreign exchange earnings from exports in major economic indicators increased by 309 percent and 259%, 203 percent, 272 percent, and 113 percent, respectively, compared to 1990 levels. Liugong was named “Customer Satisfaction Enterprise” by the National Quality Management Association in 1993.
