To seize the real characteristics of contemporary youth so as to carry out youth work in a targeted and adaptive manner is an important aspect of changing the fulfillment of our youth work in real life. We think there is an emerging and increasingly obvious feature of contemporary youth - truth-seeking. This article would like to make a preliminary exploration of this issue. As we investigate and analyze various types of youth on all fronts in Shanghai, we find that there exists a series of inherently interdependent tendencies in contemporary youth such as truth-seeking, practicality, practicality and the pursuit of effective results.
