1A processor memory system includes a call / program memory, file memory and auxiliary data system using tape. The call / program memory is a 65,536-word, 26-word memory system that uses a two-wire, current coincidence, ferrite core matrix as a memory bank that operates with a 1.4 microsecond read and write cycle time. Ancillary Data Systems (ADSs) act as an efficient means of transferring data between 1A processor calls or program memory and tape. The tape is used to enter common program, job data, and fault location information, and is used to output calculated, traffic, and error analysis data. ADS hardware includes Data Unit Selector (DUS) and Tape System Read System (TF).
