英国沃林福德水工研究所正在香港开展一项重大的水工水质研究,协助香港宾尼公司对在维多利亚港和西泊位的开发围垦工程将会产生的影响进行评定。宾尼公司是香港政府拓展署市区拓展处聘请的咨询公司。在上述研究中,英国水工研究所与香港电子与地球物理服务部及英国水利研究中心三家进行密切合作。这三个部门分工如下: 水工研究所:进行专门的实地测量和试验室土样试验,开发系列计算机模型和一个物理模型。
The Wallingford Hydro Institute in England is conducting a major water quality study in Hong Kong to assist Binney in Hong Kong in assessing the impact that development reclamation projects will have on Victoria Harbor and the West Point. Pinnacle is a consulting company hired by the Urban Development Office of the Hong Kong Government’s Development Department. In the above study, the British Institute of Hydraulic Research and the Hong Kong Department of Electronic and Geophysical Services and the British Institute of Water Resources in close cooperation with three. The division of labor among the three divisions is as follows: Institute of Hydraulic Engineering: Conducting specialized field measurements and laboratory soil tests, developing a series of computer models and a physical model.
