In the past 50 years, the development of agricultural machinery navigation equipment presented what trend? In some papers, a detailed classification of these navigation modes to a certain extent, has been applied and studied, and achieved success. However, it is interesting to note that these modes can be divided into two distinct categories: one is to navigate according to a pre-defined route or operation and the other is to navigate based on a point set in the field. Typical studies on the former model include the following: Coupling mechanism with two wheels, pinned on a tractor straddling a furrow (Grovum, 1968); Mounted on windrower shank (Parish and Goering, 1970); mounting a furrow device in front of the tractor front wheel, attached to the steering mechanism (invented by Kirk et al 1976)
