丹东港位于辽东半岛东北部鸭绿江口西岸,已有百年的历史,是中国沿海开放港口之一。近年,丹东港快步发展:1978年丹东港吞吐量为39.1万吨,1989年是111.9万吨,2001年为542万吨,今年则达到了700万吨,创造历史最高水平。丹东港拥有大东港和浪头港两个港区。有生产泊位11个,可停靠3-5万吨大型船舶。设计综合通过能力不断提升。全港区拥有充足的货物堆场,铁路专用线10公里。拥有现代化装卸机械和港作船舶,拖轮最大功率4000马力。
