民族问题始终是建设中国特色社会主义必须处理好的一个重大问题,民族工作始终是关系党和人民事业发展全局的一项重大工作。当前,我们正处在体制转轨和社会转型的关键时期,面临着促进中部地区崛起、全面建设小康社会的繁重任务。新的形势和新的任务,对做好民族工作提出了新的更高的要求。我们要深刻认识做好民族工作的重要性和紧迫性,围绕“共同团结奋斗,共同繁荣发展”这个主题,进一步做好新形势下的民族工作,努力开创全省民族工作的新局面。
The ethnic issue has always been a major issue that must be tackled in building socialism with Chinese characteristics. National work has always been a major task concerning the overall development of the party and the people’s cause. At present, we are at a crucial period of system transition and social transformation and are faced with the arduous task of promoting the rise of the central region and of building an overall well-to-do society. The new situation and new tasks have set new and higher requirements for doing a good job in ethnic affairs. We must profoundly understand the importance and urgency of doing a good job in ethnic affairs. Around the theme of “working together in unity and common prosperity and development,” we must do a better job in ethnic affairs in the new situation and strive to create a new situation in the province’s national work.
