莲花山断裂带是我省东部的一条重要断裂带,该断裂带东起福建,蜿延曲折向西延伸直达深圳市,全长数百公里。沿断裂带广泛出露断裂破碎带和动力变质带,这是一条发育历史较长,具有多期活动的断裂带。它到达深圳之后,再往西南如何延伸?在香港地区的表现如何?现代活动程度怎样?这是地质学家所关心的一个问题。 笔者在1982年5月应香港大学邀请,访问了该校,在访问期间,承香港大学D.R、霍克曼博士、严维枢讲师、宾尼公司黎炜先生的协助。曾对莲花山断裂带的香港段作过短期的考察,现将考察结果简述如下:
The Lianhuashan fault zone is an important fault zone in the eastern part of our province. The fault zone starts from Fujian in the east and extends in a straight line to the west of Shenzhen for a total length of several hundred kilometers. Broken and broken belt and dynamic metamorphic belt are widely exposed along the fault zone, which is a fault zone with long development history and multi-period activity. How did it extend to the southwest after it arrived in Shenzhen? How did it perform in Hong Kong? How much modern activity was it? This was a concern for geologists. In May 1982, at the invitation of the University of Hong Kong, the author visited the school. During the visit, the author was assisted by Mr. R. R. Hockman, Ph.D. Having conducted a short-term survey of the Hong Kong section of the Lotus Hill fault zone, the survey results are summarized as follows:
