泰山,位于山东中部,绵延在泰安、长清、历城三县之间,面积约426平方公里。主峰玉皇顶海拔1,545米,直插云天,巍峨陡峻,气势磅礴,号称五岳之首。由于其雄伟壮丽,风景优美,名胜古迹众多,成为我国著名的游览胜地。泰山座落在津浦铁路线上的泰安市北缘,交通十分便利。登游者多从中路上山,一般4小时即可到达山顶。体弱者可以从市内乘旅游车到中天门,然后改乘空中电缆车直达南天门,全程仅需一小时左右。泰山地质情况十分复杂。山体本身主要由太古代的混合岩、混合花岗岩及各种片麻岩组成,其中还有许多火成岩侵入。这些岩石变质程度很深,成因和类型也有相当复杂,是我国太古代地层中最古老的岩石
Taishan, located in central Shandong, stretches in Tai’an, Changqing, Licheng three counties, an area of about 426 square kilometers. Taishan is located in Jinpu Railway on the northern edge of Tai’an City, the traffic is very convenient. Many visitors from the middle of the mountain up, usually 4 hours to reach the summit. The infirm can take a coach from the city to Zhongtian Gate and then change to the Nantian Gate by air cable car. The journey takes only an hour or so. Taishan geological situation is very complicated.
