创造性破坏并不是一个无情而不断加速的过程,而是不断起伏波动的过程1987年7月13日的《福布斯》杂志封面上画着一个巨大的海浪,下面是大写的语句:资本主义在本质上是不断变革的,它从来不是、未来也不可能是静止的。这句话出自经济学家约瑟夫·熊彼特于1942年撰写的《资本主义、社会主义和民主》一书,“创造性破坏”一词就来源于此。
