Writing made Chinese teaching sacred In 1964, with the desire of a writer, I was admitted to the Department of Chinese at Fudan University. During my college assignment, I was often praised by teachers. When I was in my sophomore year, I published a long review article on “Harvest.” I regard language teaching as my own pursuit and career, which is due to the winning of two articles in the early 1980s. At that time, Shanghai's “Language Learning” held a national essay competition entitled “Language Beauty Education for Middle School Students” and “Chinese Teaching and Three Orientations”. I sent two drafts to teach in the border town, and I actually won the award.
