Since China announced the resumption of the status of a GATT member nation in 1986, China’s accession to the WTO has lasted 15 years. In that year, the GAlTr (General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade) has become the WTO (World Trade Organization). The two-way negotiation has also entered the stage of customs clearance and the customs clearance has reached today’s “accession to the WTO.” The U.S. negotiators have also changed hands and become world leaders Attention attracting negotiations so far China still stands on the threshold of the WTO. However, in general two or three years after the WTO accession negotiations, why did China spend so long? What are the difficulties? What should we do? This is a matter of concern to readers. To this end, we hereby reorganize the remarks made by Long Yongtu, chief negotiator of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, in the news media recently and organize them according to the issues for readers’ reference.
