澳大利亚墨尔本大学微分析研究中心成立于1984年,共有12位成员,固定人员只有3位博士,其中位 ,Dr .Geo rge Legge和Dr.David N.Jamieson,已先后在1990年10月16日和1992年10月26日来上海作学术交流;而非固定人员中包括2位博士后和7位硕士生。该中心人少,成果却不少。研究经费主要由该大学及为各公司分析样品横向服务所提供。主要研究工具有2台核子微探针装置,并已向世界各国提供服务,这2台装置是70年代发展起来的微区、微量元素无损分析的强有力的工具,具有ppm量级的分析灵敏度和
University of Melbourne, Australia Micro Analysis Center was established in 1984, a total of 12 members, only three fixed-staff Ph.D., Dr. Georong Legge and Dr. David N. Jamieson, has been in October 16, 1990 and Shanghai October 26, 1992 for academic exchanges; non-permanent staff include two post-doctoral and seven master’s students. The center is small, but many achievements. Research funding is mainly provided by the university and by horizontal services for companies analyzing samples. The main research tool has 2 sets of nuclear microprobe devices and has been providing services to countries all over the world.
