富锦一中被誉为“龙江东部教坛的一颗明珠”。1996 年8月,衣树羽到富锦一中任校长。在他的带领下,学校取得了优异的办学成果。2004年9月,省示范性高中研评组的专家们在全校教工大会上评价他是追求教育理想,勇于教育创新的校长,是教师的福分,是富锦人民的骄傲,是我省教育战线上难得的人才。省城一位作家采访他时,称他为“跨世纪的专家型校长”。
