英语里有一句成语:Practice makes perfect,它同汉语里的“熟能生巧”一样成为许多外语教师的座右铭,左右了外语教学若干年。对于生活中或生产实践中的某些工作,熟往往能生巧,这种现象是否也适用于外语学习,这是一个值得探讨的问题。熟能生巧的关键就在于一个练字,亦即practice。学外语不练不行,但光靠操练就能熟练地掌握一门外语吗?即使在今天的外语界,操练在外语教学中应扮演什么样的角色.也还是一个被争论不休的问题。本文旨在通过检视主要语言学流派的有关理论对操练在外语教学中的角色作一些探讨。
There is an idiom in English: Practice makes perfect, which is the motto of many foreign teachers, which has influenced foreign language teaching for some years. For some work in life or in production practice, it often happens that this phenomenon also applies to foreign language learning, which is a question worth exploring. Practice is the key to a practice word, that practice. Learning a foreign language can not be practiced, but can you skillfully master a foreign language just by practicing it? Even in today’s foreign language world, what role should you practice in a foreign language teaching is still a matter of endless debate. The purpose of this article is to explore the role of drill in foreign language teaching by examining the relevant theories of the major linguistic schools.
