A London subway research project involving three companies owned by British T & N Engineering Group has improved the fire performance of subway trains. INBA700 fire safety materials developed by TBA Industrial Products can be used to make backrest seats. It consists of three layers of material and is stitched together in rows of stitching pins spaced 80mm apart. The three materials are: a layer of fire-resistant white cloth in line with the British Railways 253A; the other layer is a screen made of 304-type single-strand stainless steel wire gauge 0.28; the third layer is INU240 flame retardant material, 240g /
