明末清初的旷世画僧八大山人,诗、书、画造诣均登峰造极。他书画成就的得来,主要靠他诗文功力和文化修养的滋养。亦僧亦道亦儒的八大,画中有禅、有诗、有意、有趣。因此,八大的诗文不容小觑。可惜的是,在对八大山人绘画的赏析、研究中,许多评论家由于缺少与研究对象相匹配的古典人文素养支撑,在面对八大的题画诗的时候,往往无从置喙。他们常常说,八大画上的题诗“诘屈聱牙,语义深奥,难以索解”。
