《海滨日记》写于1924年(民国十三年)暑假,陈铨与同乡好友数人共赴青岛海滨度假期间。他时年21岁,就读于清华大学。《海滨日记》不仅记录了他在度假期间的日常生活、各种活动,更是把陈铨在求学期的思想状态和精神历程真实地保存了下来。陈铨一生留下了大量的日记,然而在“文革”十年后几乎散佚殆尽。《海滨日记》是陈铨早期生活的日记,能够比较完整地保存至今,因此显得格外珍贵。特从中选取八篇,以飨读者。《海滨日记》由陈光还(陈铨之次子)、季进(苏州大学文学院教授)整理,李扬(中国社会科学院博士生)选录。
“Diary of the seaside” was written in the summer of 1924 (the thirteen years of the Republic of China), and Chen Quan and several fellow friends traveled to Qingdao during the seaside vacation. He was 21 and studied at Tsinghua University. “Diary of the seaside” not only recorded his daily life and various activities during his vacation, but also truly preserved Chen Quan’s thought state and spiritual course during the semester. Chen Quan left a large number of diaries throughout his life, however, almost disappeared in ten years after the Cultural Revolution. “Diary of the seaside” is the diary of Chen Quan’s early life, which can be preserved more completely so it is especially precious. Eight special articles were selected to readers. “Diary by the Beach” by Chen Guang (Chen Quan’s second son), Ji Jin (Suzhou University College of Letters) finishing, Li Yang (Chinese Academy of Social Sciences doctoral candidates) selection.
