当太阳照射地表,地表附近的空气受热膨胀、变轻、上升,热空气上升后空出来的位置,附近的冷空气会流过来填补,空气产生流动,就形成了风。风流动的速度越大,产生的力量越大。太阳能传送到地球后,大约有2%转换成风能了。人类从很早以前就懂得借用风的力量了。磨坊的风车借用风力来汲水或磨面粉,已经有1000多年的历史。其他如帆船、飞行伞等,都是耳熟能详的例子。风力发电则是人类对风力运用的全新突破。
When the sun shines on the earth’s surface, the air near the earth’s surface expands and becomes lighter and lighter. As the hot air rises and empties into space, the cold air near it will flow over to fill it in. The air flows and forms the wind. The greater the speed at which the wind flows, the greater the power it produces. About 2% of solar energy is converted to wind energy when it is sent to Earth. Humans learned to borrow the power of the wind from a long time ago. Mill windmill borrow wind or mill flour, has more than 1,000 years of history. Others such as sailing boats, flying umbrellas, are familiar examples. Wind power is a new breakthrough in the use of wind by mankind.
