高职毕业生在新的社会发展背景下被赋予了更高的职业要求,因而高职英语教学也面临着更大的挑战,普通英语(GE)教学已不能满足社会的要求。专门用途英语(English for Specific Purposes,简称ESP)在当今社会发展背景下显示出其针对性强、实用价值高的特点,从而在高职英语教学领域中发挥着越来越重要的作用。ESP用于高职英语教学改革研究要以就业为导向,这一发展趋势突显了ESP教学研究的迫切性,也为ESP在高职英语教学改革中提出了新的发展方向。本文分析了ESP理论用于高职英语教学改革研究目前存在的问题,对高职ESP英语教学改革的目标以及应该采用的研究途径进行了分析,发表了一些个人看法,提出一个系统的研究方案,希望能够促进高职ESP英语教学的改革发展。
Vocational college graduates are given higher vocational requirements under the background of new social development. Therefore, English teaching in higher vocational schools is also facing more challenges. Teaching of General English (GE) can no longer meet the requirements of the society. English for Specific Purposes (ESP) shows its strong pertinence and high practical value in the current social development background, and plays an increasingly important role in the field of vocational English teaching. ESP-oriented English teaching reform to employment-oriented research, the development trend highlights the urgency of ESP teaching and research, but also for ESP in English teaching reform in higher vocational education put forward a new direction of development. This article analyzes the existing problems of the ESP theory in the reform of English teaching in higher vocational colleges, analyzes the goals of ESP English teaching reform in higher vocational colleges and the research methods that should be adopted, gives some personal opinions, proposes a systematic research project, Hoping to promote the reform and development of ESP English teaching in higher vocational education.
