1998年是鲁迅的夫人许广平同志百年诞辰纪念,为纪念许广平同志在宣传鲁迅精神、民族解放运动和妇女解放运动中的杰出贡献。10月19日,民进上海市委、上海市妇联、上海鲁迅纪念馆联合在上海民主党派大厦举行“许广平同志诞辰100周年纪念座谈会”。中共上海市委副书记、市政协主席王力平,民进中央副主席邓伟志,上海市委宣传部副部长方全林,市委统战部副部长陶人观,市政协副主席、民进市委主委刘恒椽,市妇联主席孟燕堃以及市委宣传部、市文管委、民进市委、市妇联领导和许广平生前友好、专家学者80余人出席了座谈会。鲁迅许广平的儿子周海婴先生专程来沪参加会议,并将他在香港念书时买给母亲的一支钢笔捐赠给上海鲁迅纪念馆。
In 1998, Comrade Xu Guangping, the wife of Lu Xun, celebrated the one hundredth anniversary of his birth to commemorate Comrade Xu Guangping’s outstanding contribution in propaganda of the spirit of Lu Xun, the national liberation movement and the women’s liberation movement. On October 19, the CIIC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Shanghai Women’s Federation and the Shanghai Lu Xun Memorial jointly held the “Symposium on Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Comrade Xu Guangping’s Birthday” held in the Shanghai Democratic Party Building. Wang Liping, vice chairman of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and chairman of the Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference Deng Weizhi, vice chairman of the People’s Democratic Progressive Party; Fang Quanlin, vice minister of Propaganda Department of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee; Tao Renguan, vice minister of the CPC Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China; Liu Hengqian, vice chairman of the CPPCC Municipal Committee; Meng Yan-kun and the Propaganda Department of Municipal Party Committee, Municipal Commission of Culture and Management, Minjin Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Women’s Federation leaders and Xu Guangping’s former friendship, more than 80 experts and scholars attended the symposium. Mr. Zhou Haibin, son of Lu Xun and Xu Guangping made a special trip to Shanghai to attend the conference and donated a pen that he bought his mother when he was studying in Hong Kong to Shanghai Lu Xun Memorial Hall.
