美国方言协会每年年初都要举行一个仪式,对前一年进入美国英语的新词汇进行评价。这个组织大致相当于中国的语言文字委员会。 今年的元月4日,美国方言协会在旧金山宣布了2001年的“年度词汇”,“获奖者”是“9.11”。这一荣誉曾经被很多历史性的词汇获得,比如1991年的“布什之唇”,用于形容老布什所擅长的虚假政治托词,以及1999年的“Y2K”,它已经成为英语世界中“新千年”的官方缩写。 如果用同样的思路对2001年进入汉语的新词汇进行梳理的话,会有怎样一些收获呢?
