As steam boiler water, it is desirable to maintain a residual alkalinity of about 1 mg/l to prevent the formation of calcium sulfate scale in the thermochemical process in the furnace and to facilitate sludge removal. However, too much water will cause the alkali concentration in the furnace to be too high, causing caustic embrittlement and soda leaching. The authors propose control methods based on the relative ion concentration balance method of Hall, Straub, and Parr. This method has been established in principle for decades, especially the addition of a certain amount of sodium sulfate by the Parr method, which is more practical. However, as a measure of success, there must be a certain test process in our country. The publication of this publication may be published for consideration by readers and practical workers.
