我场是一个生产毛竹为主的采育林林,总面积1.6万余亩,其中毛竹林面积8,000亩左右,占总面积的50％,年产商品毛竹23万株。几年来,培育大毛竹试验取得初步成效。全场毛竹平均眉围由原29.4cm增加到32.9cm,增粗11.9％;平均枝下高,由原来的7.8m,增加到8.12m,增长41％,全高由原来的16.4m,增加到17.5m,增长67％。目前最大眉围达57.5cm,总蓄积量由170万株,增到210万株,其中大径竹的比例由30％上升到60.5％。培育大毛竹的主要技术措施如下。
