2004年初,德国新电影导演之一的维姆·文德斯“地球表面的图画”世界巡回摄影展中国站在北京中华世纪坛举行,一下子德国电影从记忆深处显现出来。好莱坞大潮权倾之下的中国银幕很少见到几部德国电影,公众对德国电影的记忆逐渐稀薄。早期的法斯宾德的《莉莉马莲》,施隆多夫的《铁皮鼓》,文德斯的《柏林苍穹下》、《德州巴黎》这些如雷贯耳的名作曾经为世界电影打开了多么生动的一个局面。1998 年出品的《罗拉快跑》带来的超游戏快感和后现代娱乐精神震荡了整个世界影坛,之后的《打开心门向蓝天》中“国破山河在”的政治情结,乃至去年入围奥斯卡最佳外语片《再见,列宁》,都在彰显这个国家和导演们不败的创作力。这是个一言难尽的国家和民族,漫长历史中走出来最伟大的哲学家、思想家、文学家,也出现过人性史上最丑恶的一幕,仅从电影角度看,德国电影绝不该被遗忘。
At the beginning of 2004, Wim Wenders, one of Germany's new film directors, presented the world tour photography exhibition “Earth's Surface” at China Millennium Monument in Beijing. This is an unspeakable country and nation. The greatest philosophers, thinkers and writers come out in the long history. The most ugly scene in human history has also appeared. From a cinema perspective, no German movie should ever be forgotten.
