12月7日,在陕西省书协召开的2014年总结会上,周一波宣布辞去省书协主席职务。他曾任陕西省政协副主席、省委统战部部长等职,2013年初从副省级领导岗位上退下来后,当选陕西省书法家协会主席。此前,周一波曾在媒体上撰文,指出某些领导热衷于挤进艺术家协会兼职谋利,倡议“包括书画家协会在内的各种艺术家协会应该进行清理整顿,党政领导干部应该自觉退出协会主席团”。
On December 7, at the 2014 summary meeting held by Shaanxi Provincial Association of Books and Periodicals, Zhou Bo announced his resignation as provincial book club chairman. He served as vice chairman of Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, Minister of the United Front Work Department of the provincial government. In early 2013, he was elected chairman of the Shaanxi Provincial Calligraphers Association after he stepped down from the vice provincial leadership posts. Earlier, on Monday, Bo wrote an article in the media stating that some leaders are keen to squeeze into the artists’ association for part-time profit-making. “All kinds of artists’ associations including the Artists’ Association should be cleaned up and rectified, and party and government leading cadres should withdraw their minds Association Bureau ”.
